Fashion is not simply commerce, clothing, or trend. Fashion is fantasy the last great theater of modern life, where dreams put on evening clothes and walk into the light. As I introduce the Summer issue of Faddy Magazine USA, I find myself thinking about the images that haunt us forever, the photographs that arrive like lightning and divide our lives into before and after.

Long before I understood fashion, I understood enchantment. I was a little girl intoxicated by fairy tales, old Hollywood glamour, music, beauty, fantasy, and the exquisite possibility of transformation. Then one day, it appeared: two books, two portals, the photographs of Helmut Newton. Those women were not posing; they were reigning. They possessed the rarest kind of glamour the kind born of imagination, daring, intellect, and self-possession.

That revelation became the foundation of everything that followed. New York called to me. Design called to me. For more than two decades, I created bridal gowns for extraordinary women, obsessing over every line, proportion, fitting, and detail. A bride is never simply wearing a dress; she is stepping into her own legend.

Yet fashion, like life, always asks us to reinvent ourselves. So another chapter began. I returned to the image, the story, the dream collaborating with artists whose work could still stop time and remind us that glamour is not decoration. Glamour is emotion, atmosphere, culture, and power.

Fashion, to me, has always been the art of becoming. It is the place where a woman can step beyond the ordinary facts of her life and enter the magnificent fiction of herself. A dress can be armor. A silhouette can be a declaration. A photograph can become a mirror in which we recognize not who we have been told to be, but who we have secretly imagined we might become. That is the power of fashion at its most sublime: it does not simply adorn the body, it awakens the spirit.

Winter 2026 explores devotion as a creative practice. In a culture defined by speed and automation, this issue turns toward those who work slowly, deliberately, and with deep respect for craft. Devotion honors makers and muses who look backward with reverence and forward with discernment, grounding contemporary expression in lineage, material, and human touch.

Lensed by Erez Sabag, the issue presents a series of intimate, tactile narratives that celebrate the analogue, the handmade, and the enduring relationship between artist and subject. Each story reflects a commitment to process over shortcuts, presence over noise, and creation as an act of care rather than consumption.

The makers featured here approach their work as ritual. Fabric is touched, shaped, and transformed. Light is treated as language. Bodies become vessels for storytelling rather than spectacle. This is not nostalgia, but continuity. A recognition that what has lived, endured, and evolved still carries authority.

Step inside the rabbit hole, darling—where fantasy flirts with fashion, reality bends, and style reigns supreme. The Spring/Summer 2025 issue of Faddy Magazine USA, Through the Looking Glass, is a visual dreamscape inspired by the wild, whimsical, and ever-relevant journey of Alice. But this is not Lewis Carroll’s tale. This is our Alice: bold, curious, unapologetically chic, and deeply self-aware. She is a wanderer, a rule-breaker, a beauty who dares to be mad—and magnificent.

This issue is an ode to that spirit. Each story—each frame, each look—is a door into another version of Wonderland, reimagined through the lens of our extraordinary contributors. From Sébastien Le Turk’s surrealist “Bunny Club” cover to Erez Sabag’s hauntingly elegant “Powder Room”, every shoot reflects a world of its own, built on imagination, identity, and fearless expression.
